Darling Kate from Kate's Wedding has made my day and won my imaginary hundred gazillion pounds for showing me The Shoes...

Oh they're gorgeous. They make my toes curl, they really do. Literally, toes all curled up, oohing and ahhing noises aplenty.

The shoes and the bag with a completely unembellished dress like this by Mira Zwillinger is my new dream wedding outfit....

I'd do the hair a little differently though.

Unfortunately my only means of acquiring this outfit or the money to buy it would be completely illegal. Not that I'm not tempted, legality is over-rated, stripes and Valentino are better.

Nomi, if you can make the shoes too I'll leave The Boy and marry you!

Sleepy days...

Darling readers, please forgive my lack of posts this weekend. There are many things I want to write about and many pictures I want to share but I'm oh so tired, oh so sleepy, those things will have to wait until I have had a long nap. Like three days long.

I am in love with these gorgeous little animals from Tamar Mogendorff, they're just too cute for words.

I especially love these little pearls, which remind me of Lewis Carroll's ill fated oysters....

Bright and beautiful things....

I thought I'd share some gorgeous photos today, taken by one of my very favourite bloggers, Felicity at All Things Bright and Beautiful.

I was in dire need of a little cheering up this morning since the sun has gone and it feels like winter once again. These did the trick perfectly.....

Aren't they beautiful? I would hang the one of those gorgeous Chinese slippers on my wall. The colours are just perfect.

All Things Bright and Beautiful is one of the most inspiring blogs I've ever read and I have come to regard Felicity as the Grande Dame of deign blogs. With an incredible eye for design and a real knack for finding unique and exquisite work, whether it be interior, fashion or photography, her blog is a true original. You will find no sloppy seconds there!


She also dedicates space on her blog to causes dear to her heart including most recently the terrible disasters in China and Burma.


All Things Bright and Beautiful is a blog that all new bloggers should be aware of. If not only for the supreme source of inspiration, but because Felicity's Blogging Tips are utterly invaluable.


And on top of her enviable talent for finding talent, her beautiful social conscience, and her general loveliness, she takes the most dazzlingly gorgeous photographs, which brighten my day even more than her blog does. Which my dears, is saying something indeed.

Splish splash...

Hallelujah and praise the Lord (of fashion), real swimsuits are back. Swimsuits that don't require a full body wax and a week's fast to wear in public.

Wear were they 18 months ago when I was shopping for my first swimming costume since high school gym classes? I searched my little heart out but not a retro beauty was to be found.

I hate skimpy swimming costumes, I love retro beach style. According to the New York Times retro swimwear is back. Yay!

Although this style is undeniably more comfortable to wear than its more modern counterparts, comfort body shyness is not the reason I love them. I just believe that they are infinitely more stylish and sexy than those that bear (almost) everything.

What woman wouldn't want to project the glamour, playfulness and sheer sexiness of the 1950s beach goddess?

These gorgeous little pretties are made from paper, fabric and clay and are indecently cheap, starting at $6. I've no idea how much a fresh flower button hole costs, but these babies will last a lifetime!

Sweet B Papers also make ring pillows, which are something I've never really understood - I mean come on, does your ring really need a pillow? Hmmm. These are undeniably gorgeous though, and I might be tempted if I could get over how ridiculous I would feel carrying my rings around on their own little palanquin.

As a side note, doesn't Gwyneth look amazing?! Who knew she had such great legs! She's barely recognisable as the same woman who cried at the Oscars in that huge pink dress. It's funny, I have no recollection of what the Oscar was for, but the dress and the crying just won't leave me. No matter how much I want them to. Hmmm...

I just couldn't resist posting more of Heather Waraksa's incredibly gorgeous photography, this time from her engagement portfolio.

Normally I'm not a big fan of engagement photos, they rarely seem spontaneous and I can't imagine anything worse than having to pose for a photographer (good job I'm marrying one who generally prefers photographing light bulbs and landscapes to portraits!)

These are the most stunning I have seen though and if I lived in New York (oh, if only) I might even consider hiring her to photograph us.....
