I don't know what has got into me, normally my taste in wedding dresses is extremely sleek, slinky and sexy (akin to a silk nightdress circa 1930) but at the moment I am really loving ruffles, lots and lots of ruffles. Weird.
Dress by Monique L'hullier, from Elegant Brides magazine and via Black*Eiffel.
It's because those are some of the most perfect ruffles ever. I love that dress too. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those timeless hopeless romantic dresses--whats not to fall in love with?
ReplyDeleteOne of my brides is wearing THAT dress this summer! I can hardly wait. It is absolute perfection, and I'll send you pics afterward!
ReplyDeletePerhaps you were inspired by Mrs. Coleen Rooney's ruffley number...?
ReplyDeleteThey are perfect ruffles aren't they?
ReplyDeleteFF, I can't wait to see! So exciting! Even just to try it on would be heavenly!
GS, I can't say I was convinced by Mrs Rooney's dress, much as I love Marchesa and ruffles. I think it is Marchesa's influence actually, all of those gorgeous coloured ruffley dresses. And it's peony season, which puts me in a ruffley frame of mind!
Ah yes of course, peonies are nature's ultimate ruffley fabric.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Coleen's dress was something of a disappointment. In fact, the whole wedding was. I think OK were done!
Perhaps because this dress is sexy and yet so beautifully romantic . . .
ReplyDeleteI never thought I was ruffly either. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteSomething ruffley is afoot East Side, and I think it's spread to the brain...
ReplyDeletedid you ever get pictures back of the bride who was wearing this dress for her wedding?
ReplyDeleteplease share if you can!!
it's my muse dress!
omg! I'd marry anyone in a heartbeat with this on! LOL! Everything about the ruffles, proportions, volume, etc...are so perfect! I am a ruffle girl. However; my mom thinks ruffles are hideous and kinky. lol. Is this dress available anywhere for purchasing btw? (:
