It's been a while since I've posted anything weddingy, because (to be honest) it's been a while since anything weddingy made me smile, truly smile.
But then I came across this Swedish (I think? There are a lot of sentences that look like this - 'Den 'bästa dagen i mitt liv var vår bröllopsdag' which looks kind of Swedish, right?) wedding and I grinned, I truly and utterly grinned. So I thought I'd share....
Doesn't she look like the most delicious cupcake?
I know it makes me some sort of savage, but I love a picture of a wedding dress covered in mud. It shows that the bride cares about more important things on her wedding day than keeping her dress immaculate.
Yum!

Yes, it's a swedish wedding and "Den bästa dagen i mitt liv var vår bröllopsdag" means "the best day of my life was my wedding day". I loved this wedding it was truly about the things that matter - love and to celebrate it with family and friends. For example, the wonderful dress was made by the brides sister...
ReplyDeleteI love it! What an utterly fantastic dress. And the dirt makes it all the more wonderful, somehow.
ReplyDeleteShe has just become the official exception that proves my "brides should not look like cakes" rule.
ReplyDeleteoh this is so lovely!
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful dress and I love the touch of dirt on it :)
I love that she's wearing flats :-)
ReplyDeleteI am in total agreement, both about the yumminess of the dress and about having warm feelings for dirty dress pics.
ReplyDeleteI love her - she looks like a bowl of whipped egg whites. The little black sash totally keeps it all from being too sweet.
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing dress!
ReplyDeleteso sweet...i love it. and the photos are great...
ReplyDeleteAt first I was like..meh.... pretty bride, fluffy dress- yada yada, but when I noticed that the tulle is all subtle rainbow shades, oh yes.
ReplyDeletea smorgasbord of loveliness!
I noticed a big splash of marinade on my dress at some point. I think it came from the leftovers we brought out around midnight...
ReplyDeleteDoes that count for something?
This is pure puff goodness. I can't get enough.
ReplyDeleteI have been soooo disgusted lately by poofy, primpy, perfect brides and to see the dirt on her dress made me SO HAPPY! I am now reminded that there ARE brides like me out there still! Yay dirt!
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS PICTURE!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is great that she's not stressing over the dress!
I can only hope I will be so care free.
