Did I ever tell you that my first engagement ring was a cable tie? It was.
Black, plastic, B&Q.
These rings by Ambre France are stirring up all sorts of nostalgia.

*'first' as in 'the first ring that cemented my engagement to The Boy'. Not 'first' as in 'the first of my many, many engagements.'

ReplyDeleteAaaahhhh.... My big brother got married this last weekend, and his (now) wife showed us the cable tie he proposed with! It was always a joke between them, and when he popped the question on top of the Eiffel Tower and opened the ring box, it was a white cable tie! (he had the real ring on his pinky)
ReplyDeleteVery very romantic!
