Guys, did you know that you can get married at River Cottage? And have Hugh Fernley Wittingstall cater your wedding? River Cottage. Fernley.
Amazing.
(I'm aware that this will mean absolutely nothing to you if you don't live in the UK, but trust me, it's a big deal to a British eco foodie type.)

I saw a vegetarian wedding done there on his River Cottage Veg show (we have the corresponding book and as coming from a houseful of veggies I can definitely vouch for it!) it looked incredible ! It never seems to rain in ever cottage either…suspiciously so ;)

ReplyDeleteThis just made me day.
ReplyDeleteNow just need the boy to propose and then make him think a HFW wedding is a good option for a couple based in Perthshire and with no connections to Devon...hmmm..this may take some thought.
You just make sure you get in touch with us as soon as it happens, I'm totes in for photographing this shindig.
DeleteOoh, no, we love Hugh in Australia too!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know he'd gone international, that's so cool!
DeleteNo, I assure you it does mean something to us not in the UK. I had a very brief moment of "We could get married at River Cottage!!" before the sensible "That's utterly absurd. You live on the west coast of the US, as does nearly all of your family except those who live in the middle of the US, and you don't have enough money to fly yourselves to England, much less host a party there, plus you have two lovely possible places to host the wedding that won't be happening for a least a year and possible 2-3."

I loved his show when I lived in England. So sad we don't get it in Canada. I still get the email news letter though.
