Things no one tells you about pregnancy, 4

Hair growth.

Luscious, lustrous, healthy hair growth.

On your boobs.

And stomach.

Which combined with boob pimples (oh yes!) gives your décolletage a distinct air of prepubescent chin.

Sexy.

  5. I didn't know it, either, but I can't say I'm surprised. Not at all. Because, what Catherine said. Exactly what Catherine said.

  6. So there I was thinking, oh yes how lovely to have a nice shiny HEAD of hair when you go and fox me by announcing it's not just your head! Eeeps, the body is a wierd and wonderful thing is it not.

PS Does the hair go after the babies are born? Or I guess you don't know right?

  9. My stomach hair is still here 6 months on sorry to be the bearer of more rubbish news. Not sure why that doesn't fall out but the hair on my head comes out in clumps.

  14. I wouldn't worry much about it falling out eventually. Of course, at the time you'll be too obsessed with the 1-inch-wide part in your increasingly thin hair to notice.... (It's finally filling back in! I thought it never would!)

  18. Anonymous, I am so, so, SO sorry.

Prac Schmac, I'd never have thought to ask my mother the question. Crazy, huh?

And you're welcome, my dear. I'd rather be informed and squeamish than ignorant and perplexedly hairy, any time.

  19. In my experience, thus far, it doesn't go away as long as you're breastfeeding. (I am really hoping it does once we wean!)
