Seaside finds...

A Gatsby wedding...

I love vintage style and I adore this beautiful 1920s inspired dress by Oscar de la Renta, whose wedding designs are beyond gorgeous.

This dress is so sweet yet stylish...

It shows that wedding dresses can be completely unusual yet still stylish, sophisticated and 'bridal'. With a high neckline and little cap sleeves it is modest, but that doesn't mean it has compromised on style or flair.

It's one of my favourite dresses and would be absolutely perfect for a summer garden wedding....

A vintage woodland wedding....

Isn't this wedding just too damn gorgeous for words?

A thousand years ago I found a couple of these images - the dog portrait and the tables at night, and downloaded them immediately. They've been sitting in my 'inspiration' folder ever since and I've been wondering where on earth I could drape flowery fabric at our venue as a backdrop. When I found pictures of the wedding from a magazine spread at Brooklyn Bride I was so excited!

Lena and Joshua's wedding is so fabulous! Relaxed, boho and completely and utterly unique. So inspiring for our relaxed outdoor wedding!

Oh what a week....

We've been to the seaside, we've been to the countryside, we've been to the capital.

A wedding venue was visited, fierce negotiations were made and problems conquered. Obscure wineries were discovered and tastings were had - Elderberry or Bramble? Gooseberry or Autumn Oak? Too many decisions to make so wine was taken home for further inspection.

A lodging was found for a very beautiful hand built wooden boat, The Boy's very own, very beautiful, very loved hand built wooden boat. A boat that has lived in The Father in Law's garage, far from the water, for two years.

Sea shells and sea glass were gathered, picnics were eaten on the pier. A sailor with a beard, a smoking pipe and a twinkle in his eye made sure that The Boy was the right sort for his boat club, that he wouldn't be more at home at the lawyers and doctors boat club further down the coast. Assurances were made that he was indeed a home made, scruffy type who doesn't drink gin and tonics on a plastic boat. A Real Sailor, if you will.

A bridesmaid who lives too far away and is rarely seen was taken on a seaside adventure.

A mother who was unsuspecting was happened upon by accident cooked a delicious dinner of stir fried salmon for her daughter and her daughter's boy.

Pictures were taken and in time will be shared. Except of the capital, a camera was forgotten. Bad photographers, bad.

A boy and a girl who are getting married in four months and eleven days were worn out but very, very happy.
