Ruffles....

And just in case we forget that I'm a contrary sort of a girl, these ruffles make me ever so happy. I want to roll around in them and ruffle them up and perhaps pretend to be five years old and hide my head among the layers.

  2. I saw these on Martha and wanted each and every one. Even the big fluffy one (which is strange for me).

  7. Ruffles totally bring out the little girl in me. They just make you want to spin around to show off your dress!

  8. I think Vera Wang dresses can be summed up by the immortal Clueless word "monet". I.e. looks good from far away and in photos but up close, not so much.

The first place I looked for dresses was at Vera Wang. Not because I wanted to wear one per se, but to see what the two ends of the market were and to help me decide what I wanted. Up close they are really heavy and constricting and not really a dress in which you can attend the best party you've ever thrown. Or, to put it another way, really pretty to look at but not something I would want to wear. Ruffles or not!
