my new shoes are made of happy things. things like recycled tires and old carpet padding, bamboo and plastic bottles. ethically certified leather and recycled inner tubes, hemp and wheatgrass and bio-live organic yoghurt. ok, maybe not wheatgrass and yoghurt, but all the other things. they are happy shoes and they make my feet happy. they make my eyes happy too, they're so much nicer to look down on than the powder blue suede trainers that i've been wearing for so many years that they're not powder blue so much as yucky yucky grey now. and they had a rabbit nibble on the toe, which looked a little silly. yes, it was definitely time for new shoes. happy shoes.

ReplyDeletepretty shoes. they're more reasonably priced too arent they? I tend to not look if they're from the US, I shouldn't assume they wont post abroad.
ReplyDeletehave you seen these people? http://www.terraplana.com/index.php they're a bit more pricey in parts, but do the same sort of thing.
You would actually have got away with the wheatgrass if you hadn't mentioned the yoghurt, I was sold on the idea of shoes made of wheatgrass.

Wheatgrass shoes would give you green toes. Which is perhaps not such a bad thing?
ReplyDeleteYour shoes are so cute! I have Simples too and love them! My vegetarian boyfriend wears the vegan flip flops too. They're so comfy! I didn't know they had Simples in the UK!
