What lovely photographs! Do they have fireflies in southern France? I used to catch fireflies in the summer twilights, and they are some of my favorite memories. I live in a city now, but last night I caught sight of a single firefly-- so dim compared to the lights of the tall buildings around it-- and it made me long for summer nights when the world was lit up with fireflies.
EEK. Thankfully the local cats don't seem that interested in our pond life, probably because there's a woman who tours the village daily feeding them all!
Lovely. I wish every child in the world could catch a frog gently at least once. I am so happy to see your kids in nature.

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any. In fact the Caribbean is the only place I've ever seen them.

ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures. We have two ponds so catching frogs is almost a daily occurrence in these summer months. Yesterday our cat caught one!
