If you're going to buy a sheep...

"If you're going to buy a sheep buy a good sheep"

These words strike me as Very Important to Remember.

words: farmer Adam Hanson on last night's Countryfile, which we have taken to watching with our dinner of a Sunday evening.

picture: a Very Good Sheep at this year's Royal Highland Show. An award winning sheep no less.

Very cool sheep.. I think black sheep are so much more hansom than the common white variety. Trying to convince my brother to get some.. will let him know this important bit of advice!

I think that the sheep is a Hebridean. I live at an Agricultural College and one of the Hebridean's escaped going to slaughter and so lived rough for a few years - clever sheep. Now I'd quite fancy keeping some Herdwick's.

  16. That quote really brightened my day (well it's 11pm, but it did give me a little giggle and something to think about).

    I vow not to buy a not-so-good sheep. Ever again. : )
